Clinics and Services
New patients & NHS Health Check
All new patients are invited to attend for a General Health Check.
We also offer NHS Health Checks to those who are eligible for one. Please ask reception or speak to our HCA for further information.
We provide cryotherapy and joint injections.
Well Baby and immunisations
The doctor is available for developmental checks.
Immunisations are given by the practice nurse by an appointment.
It is important that all babies and children are immunised.
Illnesses such as diphtheria, tetanus and polio are now thankfully rare but if contracted can be crippling or even fatal therefore we strongly advice to keep immunisations appointments for babies and avoid cancelling appointments where possible.
Post-natal examinations are carried out by the doctor at 8 weeks together with baby checks and need to be booked in advance.
Family planning, Well Women checks, smears and HRT
We offer a range of contraceptive services including emergency contraception.
Cervical smears and well woman checks including pre conceptual advice & HRT are done during normal surgery hours by appointment.
Well Person checks
All patients are offered a health check. If you are between 16-74 years of age a health check is available every three years, if over 75 years this is offered yearly. All checks by appointment.
We offer this service by appointment only. Before booking an appointment please ensure that you have been putting oil in the affected ear for 7-10 days.
Chronic disease management
This includes Diabetes, Asthma, Coronary Heart Disease, Hypertension, TIA/Stroke, COPD, Epilepsy, Mental Health, Cancer and Obesity.
Early detection and correct management can reduce the risk of complications. We run regular clinics. If you need a review, book an appointment to see the Practice Nurse or GP.
We have qualified Psychotherapist in house. Referrals have to be initiated by GP for this service.
Learning disability checks
We offer an annual Learning Disability Health Check by appointments.

Patients are encouraged to share the responsibility for their health both in preventing diseases or complications.
Many serious diseases can be prevented by changing to a healthier lifestyle.
